Flow Software Technologies has released Workspace 5.01. The latest version of the PC based robot simulation and offline programming software system incorporates automatic robot path generation. Designed to reduce both the complexity and time involved as well as improving the accuracy of robot paths created offline in simulation, the software automatically calculates the optimum robot path based on user-controlled constraints. Individual points on the Workspace generated path can then be reviewed by the user. A semi-automatic path option allows the user to accept, reject or edit each point as it is created.
Paths are created relative to designated CAD objects and Workspace uses the same ACIS Cad kernel as AutoCAD and other major 3D Cad systems.
