The Applied Mathematics and Computing Group at Cranfield University's School of Engineering has launched a new Master's degree in software techniques for engineers. The course can be taken full-time over one year or part-time over two years and offers advanced training in engineering software development with special options in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Digital Signal and Image Processing (DSIP).
Supported by an award of a £450,000 Master's Training Package from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the course builds upon the success of two current courses focusing on CAE and DSIP software techniques for engineers, mathematicians and scientists.
"The one year, full-time route will appeal to new graduates who wish to undertake advanced training in specialist software techniques to advance their career prospects," says Peter Shearer, course director. "The flexible part-time route makes it equally accessible to existing engineers who wish to update their software skills or change career direction."
Funding is available to appropriately qualified candidates. Further details are available from Rachel Wiseman, tel: 01234 754634 extension: 5561, e-mail: amac@cranfield.ac.uk
